In this issue

Welcome to our frst issue of Health Connection . We’ve packed it with useful information and suggestions designed to help you renew your spirit and enhance your health.

I want to take a moment in this introductory issue to acquaint you with our PeaceHealth promise: “The spirit of healing.” Like many businesses and organizations, PeaceHealth makes a promise to the people we serve. When a patient, physician or caregiver walks into a PeaceHealth facility, we want that person to know and trust that he or she will receive the same kind of positive experience and high-quality service every time.

Our promise defnes what we aim to consistently deliver now and what we are committed to continue delivering in the future. The promise is for our patients, families, physicians, providers and communities—to know what we stand for, what unites us as caregivers and what they can expect from us.

Healing is always our goal, even when a cure may not be possible. Our caregivers serve patients and their families to provide healing care for the body, mind and spirit. Thus, the spirit of healing is inherent in all we do. It’s a promise that supports our mission, vision and values and embodies what we seek to provide to our patients— every time, every touch.

We hope you’ll enjoy this new publication and that you’ll fnd ways to make the theme of renewal real in your daily life.

Very truly yours,

Mel Pyne, CEO, PeaceHealth Oregon Region Copyright © 2011 Coffey Communications, Inc. CUM26601h
